Local Mission Work
Serving in Our Community
Beginning in 2003, the Wannabees teams have been involved in communities all throughout Ohio and Indiana. Even with our international missions starting up in 2009, it has continued to be our goal to assist families in our area. We serve our local community by providing financial assistance to local organizations and those in need, planning a Christmas service project, caring for families after disasters such as house fires, and sponsering local sports teams and organizations.
Serving with GiGi's Playhouse
The Wannabees have been working alongside GiGi's Playhouse in Fort Wayne since January of 2022. The Wannabees volunteer weekly to assist ambassadors (individuals with Down Syndrome) at the Genesis Health Bar.
Service Opportunities
Wannabees team members stay connected through online and in person Bible studies (WISH). With this study, we organize several service opportunities! Our goal is to become more like Christ and not to get “stuck” or too comfortable inside our walls. Let’s “Go” as Jesus asked us to do. We hope service becomes second nature to all of us. We will have planned service projects, but you are also encouraged to look around your neighborhood and communities.
